Meet The Sisters

Taylor Luxem
"Scout"
Hi! I’m Taylor and I am a senior in the Human Development and Family Studies program. I chose Phi Theta Chi sorority because the girls were so nice and welcoming the second I walked through the door. In the past year I learned that I can count on these girls at any point and I am forever grateful that they welcomed me into their sisterhood. I enjoy hanging out with friends, crafting, and baking.

Marrissa Haglund
"Briar"
Hi everyone, my name is Marrissa. I'm a Senior at UW-Stout with a major in Business Administration, and I intend to graduate in May 2026. Within Phi Theta Chi, I currently hold three positions: Vice President, Secretary, and Fundraising Chair. Initially, I chose to join Phi Theta Chi because I wanted to make friends while belonging to something bigger than myself and give back to my community. After joining, I realized that the other members were truly my sisters in every sense of the word, with unwavering support and bonds that will last long after graduation. My hobbies include woodworking, crafting, 3D printing, embroidery, baking, listening to music, watching movies, reading, traveling, and learning new skills. My interests include almost anything Disney-related, cows (especially mini Highlanders), Halloween, Greek mythology, and so much more.

Hello! My name is Elizabeth and I am a sophomore mechanical/manufacturing engineering major here at Stout. In whatever free time I have, I like to listen to music, go for walks around the city, and read. I joined Phi Theta Chi because I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone, and, in the process, met all of these inspiring women. I’ve bonded with some of my best friends through PTC, and everyone here has taught me new things and made my life so much richer.

I am apart of Phi Theta Chi because these lady's make me feel like I am apart of a family. I’m a senior in the fashion design and development major with a deep love for creating fun projects for myself and having fun with friends. I thrive on good vibes, new friendships, and living in the moment. I live for an aesthetic seriously, I have flowers hanging from the top of my ceiling, it's like walking into a fairy garden. It's like a Pinterest board came to life and threw a tea party.
